Your Health at Flawless Feet is our Priority

Covid-19 Virus

From 1st June we will have two of our clinics open, Croydon and Forest Hill. Our other two clinics, Covent Garden and Knightsbridge will hopefully we reopen in early July.

To All Our Patients

As one of our valued patients, you know your health is our priority and how important it is for us at Flawless Feet to ensure you feel safe and happy coming to see one of our podiatrists.  At this time of heightened sensitivity around public health, we wanted to let you know some of the measured and informed practices we have in place across our clinics to ensure you feel safe and comfortable at our practices in light of the COVID 19 virus.

We have everything in place to protect you and us so that we can treat your feet in a safe environment. We have listened to the Government’s and our College of Podiatry’s advice on new working practices that will reduce the risk of transmitting the coronavirus.

Foot problems haven’t stopped occurring, toenails have kept growing and our ethos to care is still here- wanting to look after our patients. It has been a difficult two months not seeing everyone (although we have all enjoyed the sunny days!).

What we have for you-

  • Our podiatrists will be wearing all the appropriate PPE, including aprons, gloves and face masks.
  • We will be deep cleaning the clinic every day.
  • Disinfecting the clinic between patients.
  • Plastic shielding at the reception desk.
  • Hand gel for you to use as you enter and leave the clinics.
  • Face masks for you to purchase, or you can bring your own.
  • We have made our appointment times longer so that there will be less chance of people waiting.
  • Our experience. We are skilled healthcare professionals and we have been cleaning, sterilising and working safely for years. We are very confident that we can provide you with a safe environment.
  • Our care. We will be asking you how you are and how you are feeling. If we have any concerns about your general health we will assess and advise.
  • Our reassurance. If any of our team becomes poorly and you have visited the clinic, we will, of course, inform you.
  • Online booking, contactless payment or, if you would rather not move that close, you can read out your payment details to us to key into the machine.

What you need to do-

  • Do NOT come if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, please call and we will rearrange your appointment, with no charge to you.

As always, all of our equipment is sterilised for every individual patient and our podiatrists will continue to be wearing gloves throughout your treatment, these are changed for each new patient.  Our podiatrists and receptionists will be washing their hands thoroughly on a regular basis throughout the day.  Our clinics are all thoroughly cleaned at the start of the day and at the end of the day, clinic spaces and reception areas will also be wiped down throughout the day.  We will ensure that hand sanitiser is available at all of our clinics and we kindly ask you to ensure you make sure you use some before seeing your podiatrist.

We ask that if you feel unwell, have a persistent cough or have recently arrived to the UK from abroad please call us ahead of your appointment.  We may ask you to rebook the following week or in two weeks time. Please try and give us as much notice as possible so we can offer your appointment to another patient if needs be.

Finally we ask that you arrive on time for your appointment but not too early to avoid waiting in our waiting areas for too long.  If your appointment is at our Forest Hill clinic, can you please ensure that you visit the bathroom prior to arriving as this is a home based clinic and we will not be able to take you into the main house to use the facilities.

While there is no way to make sure we (or anywhere!) is a completely risk free environment, we are doing all that we can to ensure our patients and staff are kept as safe as possible.  We will continue to follow government and W.H.O. guidelines and will update our procedures according to the latest advice.

The practice has been Accredited by the Society of Chiropodists & Podiatrists. This means that a high standard level must be achieved by the Clinic. Practice accreditation only started in 2006 we are proud to have achieved this for the sixth time. Each Accreditation lasts for two years.

We cover Croydon, Beckenham, West Wickham, Shirley, Selsdon, South Norwood, Addiscombe, Sanderstead, Purley, Warlingham, South Croydon, Bromley, Biggin Hill and Thornton Heath. We are a busy practice focused on advising and treating a wide range of conditions. We take pride in our Podiatry treatment, and want to make your visit a pleasant experience.

The surgery is modern, comfortable and well-equipped. We offer a friendly service at all times, and the surgery always has a receptionist on duty to look after you.

The practice has registered with the Data Protection Act. The contents of your medical records will be kept strictly confidential; and your privacy will be respected at all times.

Contamination control is essential to the safety of our patients. The practice follows recommended guidelines with regard to the sterilisation of instruments.

The term ‘Podiatrist’ is a relatively new word and title which replaces the word ‘Chiropodist’. The title more accurately describes our profession. However both titles are still in common use, and are now protected in law to safeguard the public.

Your Chiropodist / Podiatrist will have undertaken a full-time three year professional training, which ended with Membership of the Society of
Chiropodists and Podiatrists and State Registration on the Council for Professions supplementary to Medicine. The latter organisation was replaced with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

State Registered Chiropodist as a title has been replaced with HCPC registered. It is a requirement of the HCPC that all Podiatrists undertake annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to maintain their registration.
